Description: For thousands of years, India has been the world’s leading producer of fine textiles. The country has a rich textile legacy, with strong traditions in weaving, dyeing, printing, and embellishment of natural fabrics. In this interesting interactive session, we will introduce you to the marvellous range of Indian textile traditions. The session is led by a knowledgeable textile enthusiast, and we encourage you to both ask questions, as well as share your own knowledge.

45 mins - Saree Draping for those who would like to learn; it's also interesting to just watch!

There is a women’s self-help organisation at the session venue which sells their crafts and textiles. If you would like to buy sarees, fabrics and crafts from an ethical source, this is a good option.
